Field Service Representative

 

We are currently seeking a Field Service Representative to provide local support for a new battlespace situational awareness data network at Minot Airforce Base. This position is not a remote position.  Candidates must be located at Minot, North Dakota or willing to relocate to Minot, North Dakota


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Individual responsibilities will include:


·      Act as the site lead for all local system operations

·      Provide first-level technical support for all end user issues

·      Perform basic troubleshooting of network, workstation, and server devices and associated peripherals

·      Coordinate with local Communications Squadron personnel for troubleshooting, policy and procedure issues

·      Perform hands-on system administration duties on behalf of program engineers

·      Create, administer, and delete user accounts, including smart card administration

·      Perform regular end user training sessions for groups and individuals

·      Participate as local representative in Change Control Board/Technical Review Board proceedings

·      Create and maintain local equipment inventory and manage replacement requests

·      Develop and document system SOPs for end users and administrators

·      Deploy regular patches and updates across the system as directed by program engineers

·      Perform regular security log reviews and perform cyber incident reporting

·       Perform first-level troubleshooting and incident handling and response

·      Regularly communicate on-site customer needs with developers and engineers for ongoing system development

·      Assist local personnel with inspection requirements compliance

·      Occasional travel will be required

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

·      This position will require US citizenship and a minimum Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one (Client will provide funding)

·      Strong communication and meticulous documentation skills

·      2+ years experience as an IT Network Administrator, System Administrator, or equivalent

·      One or more current IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+)

·      May be occasionally required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays (night-shift training, emergencies)

·      Shift work and emergency overtime may be required


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS


·      2+ years supporting DoD information systems

·      2+ years Linux system administration experience

·      2+ years Cisco network administration experience

·      Familiarity with using Docker

·      A.S. or B.S. degree in computer science, computer security, information technology or related field
