Job Description

Title: Systems Analyst

Reporting to the IT Director, the Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that business systems, application and technologies provide effective and efficient experiences and outcomes for users.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with work groups and cross-functional teams to bring forth and document user and functional requirements for manufacturing and business systems opportunities within a manufacturing landscape.
  • Contributes to developing a long-term, cross-plant manufacturing systems technology strategy including standardization of toolsets and applications where appropriate.
  • Monitors and analyzes data from Level 2 (SCADA), Level 3 (MES), and Level 4 (Data Warehouse) systems to provide recommendations and improvements to the business on solutions for their requirements and objectives.
  • Works collaboratively with business teams to develop project proposals to determine functional and technical scope.
  • Ensures that concerns regarding change management, legal, security, technical infrastructure and systems integration are considered for all manufacturing and business system projects.
  • Works with the IT organization, locally and globally, to develop an effective and efficient approach to integration between manufacturing systems and business systems
  • Designs into new applications or improvements to existing, methods to increase user ownership, reduce training requirements, and easily guide users through the business processes required to fulfill objectives.
  • Responsible for managing and improving Business Continuity Plans for business and manufacturing systems
  • Vendor Management (IT)

Requirements

  • Ability to be detailed-oriented - Must have a solid understanding of corporate-wide functions, specifically how technology supports business processes.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies.
  • Creative and analytical. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited direction, to achieve expected results.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, and, willing to affect change in a dynamic, high standards environment while maintaining a positive approach with management, peers, and subordinates.
  • Highly collaborative work style. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful professional working relationships. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering preferred) or related field and three (3) years or more of experience in a manufacturing/ industrial setting.
  • Significant experience with M365, Power Automate, SharePoint, Flow
  • Certifications in ITIL and CompTIA A+ are preferred
  • Project Management experience in IT setting (PMP is preferred)
  • Certifications in CSAP, CBPA, CBAP, CITP are a plus
  • Experience with SQL Server and ERP SAP a plus
